DORE MOTHERS` UNION WAVE OF PRAYER will be held on Tuesday 3rd August from 3.30-4pm.  The church will be open at this time for prayers but for members and friends unable to attend, prayer sheets are available at the back of church.  Please take one and join with us for this time of quiet wherever you may be.  If you are able to come to church please bring a few prayers with you.

JEAN SCEATS - The family of Jean Sceats would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and generous donations in memory of Jean. A total of £1,100 has been raised in aid of the Mothers Union holiday scheme Away From it All. Thank you to you all.

SUMMER TREASURE HUNT - On Sunday mornings during the summer the youngsters will be involved in a Treasure Hunt! If you are able to help with this on one or more Sundays, please see Lena Plaskitt (236 2099) or Emma Archer (235 3468).

THANK YOU – Billie and Dan Thaw would like to pass on their deep appreciation to all who gave towards the Oakes Extension. Their target has almost been reached and they are incredibly grateful for the support from Christ Church. Please see their card at the back of church.

EVACUATION PRACTICE - The churchwardens would like to thank the 10:00 congregation for their co-operation with the evacuation practice last week.  The building was evacuated safely and without incident in 105 seconds.  If anyone has any observations please could they communicate them to Lena or Richard.

CHURCHYARD – there will be a Churchyard working party on Monday 2nd August at 7pm.

BROOCH – If you lost a brooch in church last Sunday, please contact the church office.

STEELROOTS BIG BROTHER - From 18-22 July members of the Steelroots Youth Community will be running a 'Big Brother' House to raise money to sponsor Tanzanian children through their secondary school education.  Round the clock prayer and challenges will be set - some of which will be streamed on the internet along with video diaries from the housemates. SUMMER CAMPS 2010:  Please retain the list of our young people going on Christian camps this summer which you should have received today.  Stick it on your fridge or notice board and please pray for them on the various activities.

ELECTORAL ROLL MEMBERS – A letter has been prepared for all members of the Electoral Roll. Please collect these from pigeon holes.
