FRIDAY CHURCH HALL BROWNIES were 80 years old earlier this month and to celebrate they are holding a birthday party on Friday 27th April, 6.30 – 8pm at the hall. From Brownie to Brown Owl, anyone who has been part of the Friday night Brownies is invited to join the fun. Any photographs of your time with the Brownies would be appreciated. VISIT OF CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS- a group will be visiting us again this year for the weekend of 24th – 26th February. We have had some stimulating meetings, discussions and shared meals when Jenny has brought students in previous years. If you feel that you can offer accommodation, provide food for a shared meal on the Saturday evening or offer hospitality for a Sunday meal I would be really grateful to hear from you. LATE VALENTINE MEAL on 10th March at 8pm in the Old School. Tickets are available today after the 10 o’clock service, from Sarah in the church office or from Sarah & Rob Rattee (2362646), Meg and Martin Hughes (2366279 ) or Julie and Andy Walsh (2363767 ). The cost is £15 per couple for a delicious candlelit 3 course meal (vegetarian option available), a glass of sparking wine, coffee and the chance to watch The Marriage Course introductory DVD in a relaxing atmosphere. There is limited availability so please buy your ticket soon!

A DIOCESAN LENT COURSE will take place on five Wednesday evenings in Lent (29th February and 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th March) at 7.30pm in the Cathedral with the theme: 'The Lord's Prayer'. All are welcome but the course will be particularly suitable for those preparing for baptism/confirmation or who have been baptised/confirmed recently.

CHURCH COFFEE MORNING – Monday 6th February, 9am-12pm in the Old School. A warm welcome and homemade cakes etc wait. Drop in after the school run or pop in for a chat after shopping in the village. Future dates: 5th March, 16th April, 14th May, 11th June and 9th July.
