Jenny Hunter
Since September 2007, Jenny Hunter has been working amongst overseas students with Friends International in Cambridge. Cambridge, like a number of other university cities, has a large population of overseas students who come to the UK either for language or other academic study. For many it is there first time outside their home country and such a radical change is often bewildering and quite frightening. Friends International aim to provide friendship and help to students who find themselves in this situation - a long way from home and family - and then, through that friendship, find openings very naturally and in an unpressured way to explain the Gospel message. For some, their home countries are virtually closed to Gospel work and this is the first time they will ever heard of Jesus Christ or been able to read a Bible.
