Survey Sept 2024
Christ Church Dore survey on preferred timings for church services
As we look forward to worshipping in our church building once again after the reordering work is completed, the Parochial Church Council would like to consult with you on preferred timings for our church services.
Before we moved out of the building, we had two services each Sunday. The family service started at 10am and a reflective evening service at 5.30pm. We also held a midweek service on Thursdays at 10.30am.
During our time of worship in the Christ Church Dore Community Centre (CCDCC) we moved the timing of the family service to Sundays at 1730. This was because we gave a commitment to our friends in the Dore and Totley Christian Fellowship, who have worshipped for several years on a Sunday morning in the CCDCC, that we would not disturb their pattern of worship.
We initially held an online reflective service at 9.15am on Sunday mornings but only small numbers attended so this was discontinued.
For our midweek services we were welcomed by our friends at the Methodist Church to jointly worship with together on Thursdays at 1030.
As we return to worship in the reordered building we would like to offer again two services each Sunday and a midweek service. We would like to hear the views of the church community on your preferences for the pattern of worship you would like to see.
Please would you complete this short survey (click here) by 30th September 2024Â
The views received will be prayerfully considered by the PCC between September and November as we journey towards a return to worship in our church building.
