Welcome to Christ Church, Dore

We live in difficult times. The leadership of the Church is meeting regularly remotely and we continue in different ways but we learn and we grow. We are also praying for individuals in our community who are affected in whatever way by COVID-19 along with all our key workers.
The Church is its people and we are finding new ways to organise, meet and worship. We invite you to our virtual church service every Sunday at 10.00am. To join the service please click here before 10.00am on Sunday. tinyurl.com/ccdservice
We also have midweek worship on Wednesdays at 9.30am https://meet.google.com/rqi-nemv-nej The Sunday service is recorded until the end of September and you can find
recordings of the services under worship we have had to stop recordings as a result of changes to the free version of Google Meet. We are looking at other ways we can re-institute this in future.
small service in Church suspended due to lockdown of November 5th 2020

The very popular prayer request box has become virtual, we have created a confidential link for your use. If you use this link your prayer request will go to Revd Di Williams who will intercede on your behalf:
We are working more in the community where we can offer practical help to those who are self isolating and struggling for whatever reason. We are linking up with S17 COVID-19 Community Support Group and many members of our Church who are not self isolating will be helping out. Please see facebook.com/groups/S17COVID19 or ring the Parish Office telephone number.

The 12 Days of Christmas

Black Lives Matter

Christ Church PCC stated they had made a start in June to look at the implications of this movement for our Church. There has been further PCC discussion and the whole Church membership is now engaging in these discussions and the initial educational resources and learning is available to them. We have continued to discuss this subject at each committee meeting to check that all our actions are not affecting people who identify as BAME adversely. On 22nd November we focussed our virtual Sunday Service on Black Lives Matter and heard powerful  testimony from some of our church members.
